Robotic Assisted Surgery Reimagined: Exploring the intersection of Economics, Indications, and Stapling Technology

Robotic Assisted Surgery Reimagined

This symposium follows a poster presented at STS, which reviewed the Premier database on the economics of bedside stapling. The panel will discuss justifications, indications, and future trends for bedside stapling in robotic-assisted surgery.

The faculty will examine specific tissue conditions and complications where a bedside stapling approach may be most effective, ensuring the optimal product is used in a robotic procedure to enhance patient outcomes.
Agenda for the Panel Discussion
  1. Examining the benefits of Bedside Hand Held Stapling during Robotic Thoracic Lobectomy and Segmentectomy
  2. Indications for hand-held bedside stapling: "A comprehensive review"
  3. Strategies, insights, and tools when considering a bedside stapling approach
  4. Weighing surgeon control and efficiency
  5. Overall cost
  6. Navigating the conversation to use a bedside approach with the OR team and administrators
