The regulatory status of LigaSure™ Exact dissector is independent from that of V-Loc™ wound closure device.

The LigaSure™ Exact dissector is intended for use only with compatible Covidien generators. Use of this instrument with other generators may not result in the desired tissue effect, may result in injury to the patient or surgical team, or may cause damage to the instrument.

V-Loc™ 90 wound closure device. Do not tie knots. Tying knots may damage the barbs and potentially reduce their effectiveness. As with all surgical sutures, adverse effects include but are not limited to
wound dehiscence, and failure to provide adequate wound support in sites where expansion, stretching, or distention occur

The safe and effective use of RF energy depends on many factors solely under the control of the operator. There is no substitute for properly trained and vigilant personnel.
